Take a break and enjoy lunch in one of the most beautiful settings in Orange County. The Newport Theatre Arts Center, located on the bluffs above the Pacific Coast Highway, has earned a reputation as the finest community playhouse in the county. With spectacular bay and ocean views and a comfortable and intimate interior, the theatre has been serving our community for 38 continuous years. If you think you have the right stuff, the playhouse holds auditions for every play and all roles are open. Just come prepared with a resume, head shot, and ready to do a reading from the script. As with all non-profit organizations, volunteers make the NTAC the success that it is. Starting with ushering and serving refreshments, interested volunteers can become involved in play production and other areas of the theatre as they become more experienced and acquainted with the time commitment involved. The upcoming show will be The Calendar Girls, the fastest selling play in British history, tells the story of eleven friends, members of a women’s club, who want to create a calendar as a fund-raiser for leukemia and decide to pose themselves for the photos. Winner of On Stage Award for Best New Comedy 2010. Opens June 2 – July 2, 2017
